Women Driving Mobility for a Better Future at ComfortDelGro

On International Women’s Day, ComfortDelGro shines a spotlight on the women across our global operations who are shaping how people and communities move – not just through leadership and strategy, but through everyday decisions that make mobility safer, more inclusive, and more human.

From boardrooms to frontline roles, women across the Group are driving impact in ways both visible and unseen. In this feature, we hear from Emily Wu (Chief Executive Officer, China Business Unit), Adelene Ho (Category Manager, Group Procurement), and Natusha Boston (Contact Centre Manager, A2B) as they reflect on their journeys, their motivations, and what it means to build Mobility for a Better Future.

  1. What does your role mean to you, and how does it help advance ComfortDelGro’s purpose of “Mobility for a Better Future”?
Emily Wu, Chief Executive Officer, China

Emily Wu (EW)As a senior leader in ComfortDelGro, I foster unity, drive innovation, and scale our business responsibly to build a better future in mobility. To me, mobility is about connecting people, not just places. My role is to bring warmth to our services while upholding our broader social responsibilities, ensuring that what we build is inclusive, trusted, and meaningful to the communities we serve.

Adelene Ho (AH):  My role in procurement allows me to support reliable transport services and the enterprises behind them. What gives this role meaning is knowing that the choices we make now — by strengthening supply‑chain resilience, fostering strong partnerships, and embracing sustainable innovation — help future‑proof our operations and shape how people move and connect over time.

Natusha Boston (NB): To me, “Mobility for a Better Future” is about creating transport that is inclusive, reliable and designed around the real needs of people and communities. It means building a world where everyone, regardless of age, ability, background or circumstance can move freely, safely and with dignity. Better mobility isn’t just about moving people from A to B it’s about strengthening communities and ensuring no one is left behind. Creating simple and stress-free automated customer-focused processes isn’t just helpful, but fundamental to delivering reliable, reasonable transport.

Across their different roles, a shared idea emerges. A better future in mobility is shaped by the ability to create positive change for customers through the work done every day.

2. Is there a project or moment that you’re especially proud of?

EW: I am especially proud of our partnership with poverty-alleviation offices in China to recruit taxi drivers from underdeveloped regionsThrough training and support, many drivers – including women – gained stable employment. To me, true success is about creating opportunities and uplifting lives in the communities we serve

Adelene Ho, Category Manager, Group Procurement

AH: One of my most memorable projects was our Energy Management Programme with Setsco, where we worked to reduce building energy consumption through smarter monitoring and close collaboration. It reinforced my belief that progress comes from openness to new ideas and shared learning.

NB: A standout moment for me was being awarded A2B Employee of the Year in 2024. It was a moment that reaffirmed my impact and strengthened my confidence in the work I do.

Behind every milestone lies something deeper – a sense of purpose that continues to drive them forward.

3. What drives or motivates you as a woman in this industry?

EW: What drives me is the opportunity to bring a different perspective to a traditionally male‑dominated space. I’m motivated by the idea that leadership in mobility can take many forms, and that I can not only thrive but also reshape what leadership looks like in this industry.

AH:  As a woman in this industry, I am motivated by knowing that my voice and decisions can help shape how people move, and by the responsibility that comes with that influence.

Natusha Boston, Contact Centre Manager, A2B

NB: I’m driven by a clear sense of purpose and the knowledge that my work has a meaningful impact. I’m also motivated by the opportunity to be a role model and to demonstrate that women can be heard and respected equally. I’m especially grateful to the female leader who believed in my abilities early on; her encouragement continues to shape how I lead today.

For all three women, mobility extends beyond transport systems – it is about creating experiences that are safe, inclusive, and meaningful for communities.

4. What advice would you give to other women entering this industry?

EW: Own your value, lead with authenticity, and never let doubt hold you back. Take up space, speak out, and pursue opportunities boldly. This industry needs your perspective, and together we can build a future where women’s contributions are recognised, valued, and rewarded.

AH: I grew up believing that my gender should never define or limit me, and that belief has guided my journey in ComfortDelGro. To women aspiring to join the transport industry, step in with confidence. Whether in leadership, technical or administrative roles, your perspective matters – this industry values collaboration and curiosity.

NB: Always believe in yourself and stand up for what you deserve. Whatever challenges arise, stay resilient, learn to adapt and continue speaking up.

Moving Forward Together

Across leadership, corporate, and frontline roles, these women reflect the many ways mobility is shared by people who lead with purpose, empathy, and conviction.

This International Women’s Day, ComfortDelGro celebrates not just achievements, but the everyday leadership and care that women bring to shaping Mobility for a Better Future – across roles, borders, and communities.
