VICOM Unveils New Intergrated Hub At Jalan Papan To Strengthen Capabilities And Drive Future Growth

  • Designed for long-term scalability, the facility integrates modern, cutting-edge testing facilities to support Singapore’s evolving testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) industry.
  • With new advanced equipment and an optimised layout, VICOM enhances its vehicle inspection processes to better handle increased demand.
  • The new five-storey facility also significantly scales up SETSCO’s laboratory capabilities, housing emerging and advanced testing services to meet rising industrial demand.

Singapore, 4 February 2026 – VICOM Ltd (SGX: “WJP”), Singapore’s leading provider of inspection and testing services, has officially inaugurated its new Integrated Hub at 2E Jalan Papan in Jurong. The new S$60 million, five-storey, purpose-built facility marks a significant milestone in the Group’s long-term strategy, consolidating vehicle inspection and non-vehicle testing services under one roof while strengthening capabilities to serve the TIC industry.

With new, technologically advanced equipment and a more spacious, efficient layout, VICOM, through its subsidiary, JIC Inspection Pte Ltd, are elevating its inspection processes to better manage increased traffic and improve overall service efficiency. The new inspection centre enhances JIC’s operational capacity and complements VICOM’s network of testing centres across the island.

The new facility also provides SETSCO, VICOM’s non-vehicle testing business, with significantly expanded space to develop and implement innovative and advanced testing capabilities. This increased capacity allows SETSCO to effectively meet growing demand in the built environment and manufacturing sectors.

In line with VICOM’s commitment to environmental stewardship, the new Hub incorporates sustainable features like high energy efficiency with the installation of solar panels, good water efficiency, adequate environmental protection, and good indoor environmental quality. These features, together with climatic responsive design, has earned VICOM the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award. This award affirms VICOM’s commitment to integrate sustainability in its business operations and environmental practices. The setting up of high-capacity EV chargers within its premises further reinforces its role as an enabler of sustainability in facilitating the electrification of vehicles.

Mr Sim Wing Yew, Chief Executive Officer of VICOM, remarked: “The Jalan Papan Integrated Hub gives VICOM and SETSCO a strong foundation to grow and strengthen our skills to support our new partners, boost technological resources and reaffirm our dedication to delivering professional testing services to ensure safety, reliability, and sustainability. By leveraging our core strengths, we continuously enhance customer experience in both our vehicle inspection services and non-vehicle testing services.”

The launch of the Integrated Hub is a key component of the Group’s broader commitment to agility and future-readiness. The facility is designed to adapt to the evolving automotive landscape — particularly the shift toward vehicle electrification— and the increasing complexity of industrial testing requirements. The facility will commence operations progressively from 16 February 2026, with full operations expected in the second half of 2026.
